favolane timeline

See what you have liked on all the social networks.

Have you ever had that moment that you wanted to show an awesome video you saw on Facebook to your friends at the bar, but couldn’t find it back? Or that you were browsing through your timeline for a photo that you liked, to use it in a presentation?

That was my very personal itch. Scrolling for ages through my own timeline to find that one post that I was searching for. There had to be a beter way!

I started out by creating a website called everythingyouliked.com, creating a list of everything you liked. (Catchy title, isn’t it!) After integrating various networks like Instagram and Twitter I quickly found out that my solution wasn’t solving my itch. Sure, I had one big timeline, but I was still scrolling around for ages!

Asking my friends for some advice ended in partnering up with Sander de Gans to form Favolane. Focused on visual content, app first, we started hacking at our app. It took us a year to came up with version 1.0, all the posts you’ve liked on Instagram, Facebook, Vimeo and YouTube. Label those posts so you could find them again!

We also added the opportunity to discover new content, find out what your friends like. Kinda like a new social network!
